A 23-year-old woman who was struck by a vehicle in Palmdale was identified Monday.
Lizbeth Molina died in the street about 11:20 p.m. Wednesday at the intersection of Sierra Highway and Avenue P, according to county authorities.
She died of blunt traumatic injuries, the Los Angeles County medical examiner’s office reported, which listed the manner of death as accidental.
A passerby reported the pedestrian down in the street with vehicles driving around the body, according to Lt. L. Arnold, the watch commander at the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Palmdale Station.
It was not immediately clear if the case was being investigated as a hit-and-run.
Video from the scene showed the victim’s body lying on the ground while sheriff’s deputies investigated the scene.
