An infant’s death in Compton prompted a homicide investigation Saturday.
Sheriff’s detectives were sent at midmorning to the 13000 block of South Harris Avenue to investigate the circumstances surrounding the child’s death, said Deputy Guillermina Saldana of the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Headquarters Bureau.
The infant was pronounced dead at the scene, she said.
