A fire broke out Wednesday morning in a detached garage in Compton, a sheriff’s lieutenant said.
The fire at 911 North Culver Ave. was reported about 12:30 a.m., said Lt. Brian Gellis of the Compton Sheriff’s Station.
Compton firefighters put out the fire in about 25 minutes, and there were no injuries, Gellis said.
Preliminary information indicated the fire may have been sparked by an electrical fault, he said.
The garage may have been converted into a housing unit, a news videographer reported from the scene.
