A man was fatally struck Friday by a Metro Red Line train in Studio City.
Firefighters and paramedics were dispatched to the Universal/Studio City station at 11:50 a.m., where the unidentified victim ended up beneath the train, said Brian Humphrey of the Los Angeles Fire Department.
Ramon Montenegro of the Sheriff’s Transit Services Bureau said the victim was a male, but did not know his age.
Sheriff’s Homicide Bureau detectives were investigating the fatality, he said.
Metro advised riders to expect delays of up to 20 minutes.
