Two masked men robbed a bank in Pasadena Friday and got away in a car driven by a third suspect, police said.

The bandits, both wearing black ski masks and armed with handguns, entered the OneUnited Bank at 1335 N. Lake Ave. about 11 a.m., demanded money from tellers and fled with an undisclosed sum, Pasadena police Lt. John Mercado said.

“Witnesses outside the bank saw the suspects exit (the bank) and enter an older, small two-door sedan,” Mercado said. The vehicle, whose driver remained inside the car during the robbery, was last seen headed south on Lake Avenue, the lieutenant said.

The gunmen were described as black, in their mid-20s and about 6 feet tall with thin builds. In addition to the black ski masks, both wore gloves. One wore a black hoodie and dark-colored pants and the other wore a white hoodie and light-colored pants, Mercado said.

Anyone with information about the suspects was urged to contact Pasadena police investigators at (626) 744-4241.
