A 22-year-old gang member, armed with a stolen handgun with an illegal high-capacity magazine, was arrested during a routine traffic stop in Pomona, police said Sunday.

Police stopped Calvin Robinson about 8:30 p.m. Saturday in the area of Hollander Street and Valera Avenue, just east of Willie White Park. That is the location where a 42-year-old man was shot and killed, and a 16-year-old boy was wounded, during a barbecue on March 1, according to a report from the Pomona Police Department.

Robinson was charged possession of a stolen firearm, possession of a high capacity magazine and driver carrying a concealed firearm, according to the news statement.

He posted bail and was released from the Pomona Jail at 11:49 p.m Saturday, according to the Sheriff’s Inmate Information Center.
