A 28-year-old former Angeleno man from Georgia was shot dead during a gang-related shooting attack on the outskirts of the Leimert Park community in Los Angeles, authorities said.
Ruben Breedlove, a currently of Atlanta, was pronounced dead in the residential neighborhood at 11:14 p.m. Saturday, said coroner’s Investigator Betsy Magdaleno.
The victim had been walking near Third Avenue and 39th Street about 11 p.m. Saturday when he was approached by a gunman, who shot him, said Los Angeles police spokesman James Richter
Breedlove was a former resident of Los Angeles. He went to Crenshaw High School and was in town for the holiday, according to his Facebook profile.
Richter said police had no suspect description.
