A suspect and a woman who may be his girlfriend were taken into custody Tuesday after barricading himself in a Canoga Park apartment.
Around 1:20 p.m., police saw a man wanted for an assault with a deadly weapon walking in the 6900 block of Millwood Avenue, according to Officer Mike Lopez of the Los Angeles Police Department‘s Media Relations Section. He ran into a nearby apartment and barricaded himself.
He remained barricaded until about 5:40 p.m., when SWAT members apprehended him and the woman. He had a weapon, Lopez said.
Lopez said it was unclear if the woman taken into custody was and suspect and might be arrested.
