Police are investigating an apparent murder-suicide in Inglewood where a man shot dead a woman at a residence and then went to a hospital, where he took his own life, police said Saturday.
Police were sent to a home in the 500 block of Hargrave Street at 9:25 p.m. Friday, where a woman was found shot dead, said Inglewood Police Lt. Neal Cochran.
The suspect, meanwhile, arrived at nearby Centinela Hospital Medical Center, where he took his own life, Cochran said.
“It was kind of scary because there was some concern that he was going to pull a Lafayette(shooting),” he said. “It caused some commotion. They had to lock down the whole (hospital) floor.”
There was no other immediate information.
The names of the shooting victims will be released pending notification of next of kin, said coroner’s Investigator Mario Sainz.
