A man jumped about 120 feet from a bridge near downtown Los Angeles Tuesday and was taken to a hospital in “grave” condition, authorities said.
Police officers and firefighters were sent to the 600 block of South Santa Fe Avenue about 12:45 p.m. on a report that a man was threatening to jump from the structure.
About a half-hour later, the fire department reported that the man, about 40 years old, had jumped and was being taken to a hospital.
Traffic was routed away from the area while an investigation was conducted.
