The teen’s name will be released pending complete notification of his family, said Betsy Magdaleno, an investigator at the coroner’s office.
The 22-year-old was speeding southbound on Bouquet Canyon Road in a 1991 Mazda Miata when he lost control of the car a little after 4:47p.m. Saturday, allowed it to spin and the right side of the vehicle struck a tree, the CHP said. The boy was pronounced dead at the scene at 5:25 p.m. Saturday.
