He’s 6-foot-6 and may have stolen cell phones from 30 people; Were you a victim?

Police asked for the public’s help Thursday to identify any additional victims of a 6-foot-6 accused cell phone robber suspected of involvement in at least 30 phone robberies.

Terry Donaldson, 30, was arrested by Los Angeles Police officers near a Metro Red Line station in downtown Los Angeles shortly after 3 p.m. Saturday. The LAPD said Central Division officers saw Donaldson run past them followed by a victim, who told them Donaldson had just stolen his cell phone. A foot pursuit ensued, covering several blocks, until Donaldson was taken into custody.

While the suspect was in custody, two other victims told police Donaldson had stolen their phones that day. The robberies took place in the area of Fourth Street between Hope and Hill streets, according to the LAPD.

Donaldson was booked on suspicion of one count of robbery and being held without bail due to a parole violation from Missouri.

He told officers he stole more than 30 phones during the month before his arrest, according to the LAPD.

Donaldson is black, about 6 feet 6, with a medium build and a dark complexion, according to the department. Anyone with information on any Donaldson victims who have not turned up was urged to call LAPD Central Division detectives at (213) 833-3750.
