A Pico Rivera man was charged Friday with murder for allegedly stabbing his ex-girlfriend’s new boyfriend during a fight last month in the Whittier area.
According to the criminal complaint, Delgado has prior convictions for possession of a controlled substance in 2006, petty theft with priors in 2009 and possession for sale of a controlled substance in 2014.
Prosecutors allege that Delgado went to his ex-girlfriend’s home and confronted the woman and her new boyfriend, who left but later returned and got into a fight with the defendant that culminated with the stabbing.
Duran was pronounced dead at an area hospital.
Delgado was arrested Wednesday by Los Angeles County sheriff’s deputies and held on $1 million bail.
