A 22-year-old injured woman hiker was recovering Sunday after air and ground firefighting crews came to her rescue in the Hollywood Hills.
The woman was able to walk from the area after a paramedic was lowered from a helicopter to help her at 3050 Runyon Canyon Rd., Los Angeles Fire Department spokesman Erik Scott told City News Service.
The LAFD helicopter paramedic determined that the woman had an injured “extremity,” but the exact nature of the problem wasn’t disclosed, Scott said.
When firefighters arrived on the ground, they helped her walk to safety. Meanwhile, the helicopter picked up the paramedic to be ready for the next call after the Saturday afternoon incident, he said.
