An 18-year-old man was struck and killed on a freeway in North Hollywood early Saturday.
The victim was struck in the northbound lanes of the Hollywood (170) Freeway, just north of the Ventura (101) Freeway at 12:18 a.m., according to the California Highway Patrol online incident log.
The victim died at the scene, CHP Officer Francisco Villalobos said.
There was no description of the vehicle involved, nor was there any other immediate word of why the victim was on the freeway, Villalobos said.
