Five businesses in Manhattan Beach were burglarized Thursday, and police sought public help to solve the crimes.
Officers sent to the Manhattan Village Shopping Center in the 2900 block of North Sepulveda Boulevard about 5:25 a.m. on a burglary alarm call found that a glass door had smashed at Super Sports store, Stephanie Martin of the Manhattan Beach Police Department said.
During the investigation, a police officer was flagged down by a passerby, who said a business across from the shopping center had been burglarized, Martin said.
Officers went there and discovered that glass doors had been smashed or pried open at four other businesses: Domino’s Pizza, Oasis Thai Massage, Brazuca Brazilian Restaurant and Lido Bakery.
Items taken from the five businesses included electronics and cash from registers.
Investigators reviewed security video that showed the suspects were three males wearing hooded sweatshirts and gloves, who fled in a dark-colored four-door SUV.
Anyone who may have seen suspicious activity in the area at the time of the crimes was urged to call Manhattan Beach police at (310) 802-5124.
