A 15-year-old boy was seriously injured when he was shot twice in a leg in a gang-related shooting in Garden Grove, police said Sunday.

Officers called about 7:50 p.m. Saturday to the area of Barclay and Maureen drives found the victim, who had been shot twice in the upper part of one of his thighs, laying between two buildings, according to Garden Grove police Sgt. Otto Escalante.

The boy was taken to UC Irvine Medical Center in Orange, where he was in serious but stable condition, Escalante said.

“Several witnesses heard the shooting, but could not give any information on a vehicle or suspect description,” he said.
