A cement truck crashed over the edge of a roadway in the Hollywood Hills Thursday, trapping its driver in the vehicle.
Firefighters were sent to the 2400 block of N. San Marco Drive at about noon and worked to stabilize the vehicle, according to the Los Angeles Fire Department.
The driver was rescued after about 40 minutes, and was examined at the scene. North San Marco Drive and Holly Drive were closed while crews worked to bring the truck up the hillside, an effort that was expected to take an “extended” period of time, the LAFD reported.
