Detectives say road rage led to the shooting death of a 23-year-old man in a vehicle-to-vehicle shooting in El Monte.
Authorities hunted the killers who sped from the scene in their vehicle.
The shooting was reported at 7:08 p.m. Saturday at Cogswell Road and Klingerman Street, said Deputy Lisa Jansen of the Sheriff’s Information Bureau.

The victim, who was a passenger in a truck, was involved in an argument with a suspect or suspects in another vehicle, according to Deputy Crystal Hernandez of the Sheriff’s Information Bureau.
The argument escalated into a shooting and the victim was shot in the upper torso. The suspect then fled, Hernandez said.
Paramedics rushed the 23-year-old man to a hospital, where he was pronounced dead. The driver of the truck was not injured, she said.
The suspect’s vehicle, occupied by at least two men, was described as a dark SUV, possibly a Dodge, she said.
The coroner’s office has not yet positively identified the victim, according to coroner’s Lt. Larry Dietz.
Sheriff’s homicide detectives asked anyone with any information regarding the shooting to call them at (323) 890-550o.
