A 55-year-old man has pleaded no contest to voluntary manslaughter for the stabbing death of his wife at their Tujunga home last year.
Henrik Avetyan is expected to be sentenced to more than 21 years in prison on Aug. 23.
After stabbing his 50-year-old wife, Larisa Sarkisyan, on May 7, 2015, Avetyan injured himself with the knife before a family member walked in and discovered the carnage, according to prosecutors.
The killer entered his plea Thursday.
