Two drivers suspected of being under the influence of alcohol or drugs were arrested at a checkpoint in Palmdale, officials said Monday.
The checkpoint was in operation from 6 p.m. Friday to 2 a.m. Saturday at the intersection of Avenue S and 27th Street East, according to the sheriff’s department.
A total of 1,407 vehicles were screened.
In addition to the two DUI suspects, deputies cited or arrested 15 drivers for operating vehicles while unlicensed or with licenses that were suspended or revoked.
