A 20-year-old woman was stabbed in the shoulder in Pomona by a man alleged to have offered her a ride, authorities said Monday.
The stabbing was reported at about 9:40 p.m. Sunday in the 900 block of Densmore Street, said Pomona Police Lt. Alex Rilloraza. The victim was identified as Tiffany Mansanalez of Fresno, he said.
The unknown man in his mid-30s picked up Mansanalez on Holt Avenue and offered to give her a ride, the lieutenant said.
The suspect drove her to the 900 block of Densmore Street where they had a conversation.
“During the conversation the suspect stabbed victim Mansanalez, pushed her out of his vehicle and fled the location,” Rilloraza said.
The man was driving a gray newer-model Honda, he said.
Los Angeles County firefighters treated the woman at the scene before she was flown to a hospital with stable vital signs, Rilloraza said.
Police asked anyone with information about the stabbing to call them at (909) 620-2085. Anonymous tips may be made to Crime Stoppers at (800) 222-TIPS (8477).
