
A 35-year-old man sat down on a busy freeway, was struck by at least two vehicles and killed in Carson, the California Highway Patrol said Sunday.
The crash was reported at 7:16 p.m. Saturday on the eastbound Gardena (91) Freeway, east of Avalon Boulevard, said CHP Officer Michele Bond.
A witness called 911 to report seeing the pedestrian walk onto the eastbound freeway and sit down in the number two lane of traffic. He was struck by at least two vehicles and pronounced dead at the scene by arriving paramedics, the CHP reported.
