The crime occurred shortly after 5 a.m. in the 25000 block of Huston Street, said sheriff’s Sgt. Michael Wright of the Santa Clarita Station.
The suspect fled after a scuffle with the resident, and was arrested in the neighborhood about 6 a.m. after a perimeter was established, the sheriff’s department reported. No one was injured.
Information was not immediately available on the law enforcement agency the victim works for. It is not the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department, according to reports from the scene.
