Los Angeles Sheriff’s deputies Friday were trying to figure out why a small sedan crashed into a Taco Bell fast-food restaurant in Norwalk where patrons were having dinner.

Officials reported two people were transported to a local hospital with minor injuries.

Deputies said it’s unclear whether those injured were customers, employees or occupants of the vehicle.

At 8:25 p.m. Thursday Los Angeles County Fire Department paramedics responded to the crash at the restaurant at Rosecrans and Pioneer Boulevard.

It appeared the vehicle crashed into tables in an outdoor patio before slamming through a glass wall and into the eatery where shocked customers were finishing dinner.

There was no word yet of what may have caused the crash.
