A Sylmar man was killed when his vehicle rolled over him as he was making repairs while on a freeway on-ramp in Canyon Country, authorities said Wednesday.
The accident was reported at 9:48 p.m. Tuesday on the Via Princessa Way on-ramp to the southbound Antelope Valley (14) Freeway as Gerardo Silva was on the right shoulder under his vehicle, the California Highway Patrol reported.
While the repairs were underway, the vehicle rolled backward and its right front tire came to rest on Silva, the CHP said. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
