A motorcyclist was killed in a crash in Malibu Monday, according to the California Highway Patrol.
The crash took place a few minutes before 5 p.m. in Tunnel Number 1 in the 1600 block of Kanan Dume Road, south of Mulholland Drive, CHP Officer Patrick Kimball said.

Los Angeles County fire paramedics responded to the scene and took the rider to a hospital, according to the department. The victim later died there.
The victim’s gender and age were not immediately available. The person’s name will be withheld pending notification of next of kin.
No other vehicles were reportedly involved in the crash, which remained under investigation by the CHP.
