A multi-vehicle collision on the Ronald Reagan (118) Freeway Monday morning temporarily shut down all eastbound lanes in the Porter Ranch area while the wreckage was cleared, a diesel fuel leak was cleaned up and one person was taken to a hospital, authorities said.
The crash was reported at about 2 a.m. on the eastbound Ronald Reagan Freeway at Hayvenhurst Avenue, according to the California Highway Patrol.
At least seven vehicles were involved and one male was taken to Providence Holy Cross Medical Center in Mission Hills, said CHP Officer Patrick Kimball.
The involved vehicles included a tanker truck that sustained a fuel leak, Larry Redden of the Los Angeles Fire Department said.
A SigAlert was issued at 3:10 a.m. shutting down all eastbound lanes of the Ronald Reagan Freeway. The HOV and number 1 lanes were reopened about 3:30 a.m. All lanes were reopened at about 5:30 a.m.
