A man was shot and wounded early Friday in Pacoima, police said.
The shooting was reported around 12:30 a.m. in the area of Montague Street and Glenoaks Boulevard, said an officer at the Los Angeles Police Department Foothill Division.
The officer said the gunman approached and asked a “frivolous question” before firing on the man and then fleeing the scene. The victim was taken to a hospital with what was believed to be non-life-threatening injuries, police said.
A description of the gunman was not available.
