Metro Green Line service was restored Monday between the Vermont and Hawthorne/Lennox stations following a disruption due to damaged power lines.

The service was restored about 7:30 a.m., but some delays of up to 10 minutes were expected, said Jose Ubaldo of Metro.

The damage happened Sunday, cutting power to tracks in both directions, and repairs had been underway since, Ubaldo said.

Bus bridges that had been in place during the repair effort were canceled, Ubaldo said.

The cause of the damage was under investigation.
