A man was robbed and stabbed during an argument with another man on the street in Sun Valley early Saturday morning and his attacker remains at large, according to a Los Angeles police sergeant.
The attack took place at 12:20 a.m. near the intersection of San Fernando Road and Truesdale Street, LAPD Sgt. Nicholas Orozco said.
“We got a call just before 12:30 a.m. to go to Pacifica Hospital to talk to a man who was stabbed and robbed,” Orozco said.
“The victim told us he was having an argument with another man when suddenly the man punched him in the face,” Orozco said. “Then the man stabbed him in his left side. While he was laying on the ground his attacker reached down and stole $200 from the victim’s pocket.”
The attacker then fled.
Orozco said he didn’t know yet whether the two men knew each other or what the argument was about. The victim, he said, was also not very cooperative with police.
Orozco said police don’t yet have a description of the attacker.
Anyone with information on this stabbing and robbery was asked to call the LAPD’s Foothill Division at (818) 756-8861. Tipsters can also call Crime Stoppers at (800) 222-TIPS. All tips can be made anonymously.
