At least five vehicles were involved in a chain crash Sunday on State Route 91 in Corona, causing lane closures.
The crash was reported at 4:32 p.m. on the westbound side of the freeway just east of State Route 71, said the California Highway Patrol.
Initial reports suggest a vehicle attempted to enter the the FastTrac lane by driving through the delineators and caused the pileup, according to the CHP.
One vehicle sustained major damage and two vehicles were left facing sideways, the CHP said.
The extent of injuries caused by the crash was not immediately clear, but an ambulance was called to the scene.
The crash was blocking the number one and two lanes, Caltrans wrote in a tweet.
