Authorities Friday were seeking a man who allegedly tried to lure a girl into his car in Alhambra.
The girl was walking home from Northrup School near Atlantic Boulevard and Mission Road about 1 p.m. Thursday when the man pulled up next to her in a car and asked her to get in, the Alhambra Police Department reported. The girl’s age was not disclosed.

According to police, the man said, “Hey little girl … I have a little white puppy and some Jolly Ranchers. Get in the car and I will give it to you.”
The girl ran away and told her mother, who called police.
The man was described as in his 30s and driving a red, four-door Toyota, possibly a Corolla.
