Owners and fans of exotic cars descended on Beverly Hills for a couple of hours before officers broke up the gathering Wednesday morning.
The crowd gathered near Rodeo Drive and Dayton Way about 10 p.m. Tuesday, but officers kept any activities involving the cars from happening at the scene, said a Beverly Hills police sergeant who wished to remain anonymous.
The crowd was allowed to remain in the area until midnight when officers moved in and dispersed the gathering, he said, adding that some of the car owners were issued citations for vehicle code violations, but the gathering was otherwise calm.
