A man, possibly between 20 and 30 years old, was shot to death Monday in an area of unincorporated East Los Angeles, authorities said.
The gang-related shooting was reported at 1:52 a.m. at South Eastman Avenue and East Fourth Street, Deputy Tracy Koerner of the Sheriff’s Information Bureau said.
Residents in the area heard gunshots and discovered the victim lying on the sidewalk suffering from gunshot wounds, according to the Sheriff’s Information Bureau.
The man was pronounced dead at the scene, Koerner said.
