A former fugitive who was on the FBI’s Ten Most Wanted list was sentenced Friday to 75 years to life in state prison for murdering his pregnant girlfriend, who was playing a card game at a friend’s apartment in Hollywood when she was shot.

Philip Patrick Policarpio, 42, pleaded no contest Aug. 29 to two counts of first-degree murder — one each for the April 12, 2016, shooting death of Lauren Olguin, 32, and her fetus. He also admitted a gun allegation.

Olguin was about 17 weeks pregnant with Policarpio’s child when she was killed, according to the District Attorney’s Office.

She was playing cards at a friend’s apartment in the 500 block of North Virgil Avenue, and an argument ensued after Policarpio showed up. He began hitting his girlfriend and then placed a gun to her head and shot her, according to Deputy District Attorney Kathy Ta.

Policarpio — who reportedly has a tattoo on his chest that reads “Only God Can Judge Me” — fled and was subsequently added to the FBI’s Ten Most Wanted List.

He was arrested in May 2016 by U.S. Customs and Border Protection agents at the San Ysidro border crossing between San Diego and Tijuana while driving in a white Ford F-150 pickup truck with a 22-year-old female passenger from Mexico.

He told officers at the inspection booth that he was a Mexican citizen who had made a wrong turn, but U.S. Customs and Border Protection officers subsequently identified him as a U.S. citizen who was wanted for a homicide in Los Angeles County and turned him over to the FBI.
