A 17-year-old boy was hospitalized in critical condition Saturday after being struck by a vehicle in Pomona.
Police responded about 11 p.m. Friday to a traffic collision in the area of Mission Boulevard and Reservoir Street and found the teenager down in lanes of traffic, according to a statement from the Pomona Police Department.
Los Angeles County Fire Department personnel treated the victim on scene and transported him to a hospital where he was listed in critical condition, the statement said.
The driver of the vehicle remained at the scene and cooperated with investigators, police said.
The intersection of Mission Boulevard and Reservoir Street was closed for the investigation. It was unclear when it would reopen.
