A 6-year-old girl was hospitalized Saturday morning after being critically wounded in a shooting at a gas station in South Los Angeles.
The gunfire was reported at 8:15 p.m. Friday in the area of Figueroa Street and Gage Avenue, according to Officer Drake Madison of the Los Angeles Police Department’s Media Relations Section.
The victim, her mother and another sibling were caught in the crossfire between two gang members at a gas station at the location, NBC4 reported.
The girl was taken to a hospital and underwent surgery, Madison said.
Police were looking for two male suspects who fled in a silver four-door car, Madison said.
