A 17-year-old boy was wounded by gunfire in the Vermont Knolls area of Los Angeles, authorities said Monday.
It happened just before 10 p.m. Sunday at 78th and Figueroa streets, a dispatcher in the Los Angeles Police Department’s Operations Center said.
The teen was taken to a hospital where his vital signs were stable, the dispatcher said.
The shooting was not gang-related, she said. Suspect information was not immediately available.
