A naked man suspected of trying to lure an 11-year-old child into his vehicle in Glendale was sought Friday evening by police.
The incident occurred Oct. 17 in the area of Western Avenue and Victory Boulevard as a woman and her child waited in a parking lot, according to Sgt. Dan Suttles of the Glendale Police Department.
The child got out of his mother’s vehicle while she remained inside. The child was then approached by a naked man driving a vehicle with a woman passenger and the driver waved the child towards his vehicle, Suttles said.
The mother saw what was happening and yelled at the man and woman, who drove out of the parking lot and out of sight, Suttles said.
The suspect vehicle was described as a 1999-2006 gray or silver BMW X5 with a license plate that contained the letters “L-M-N” or “L-N-M,” he said.
The man was described as being in his 40s or 50s with white or graying hair. The woman is between 45 to 50 years old with dark shoulder length hair, Suttles said.
Anyone with information about this luring was asked to call the Glendale Police Department at 818-548-4911.
