Firefighters contained a small brush fire that broke out on both sides of the Hollywood (170) Freeway in Sun Valley Sunday.
The fire was reported at 2:16 p.m. Sunday on the northbound and southbound sides of the freeway at Roscoe Boulevard, according to Los Angeles Fire Department spokesman Jamie Stewart.
It burned a total of about one acre, Stewart said. No structures were involved.
The cause of the fire was not clear.
The California Highway Patrol issued a Sigalert closing the Roscoe Boulevard off-ramp on both sides of the freeway. The ramps were reopened about 4 p.m.
