Homicide detectives Saturday continued their investigation into the discovery of a woman’s body in the Malibu Lagoon.
Paramedics were sent to the 23200 block of West Pacific Coast Highway on a report of a drowning at 12:49 p.m. Friday, according to the Los Angeles County Fire Department.
Lifeguards determined that the woman was dead at the scene at 1:02 p.m., according to the fire department.
The name of the woman will be released pending notification of next of kin, according to the Los Angeles County coroner’s office.
