Flames damaged a single-family Downey home but no one was hurt, authorities reported Wednesday.
The fire was reported at 11:58 p.m. Tuesday on the 9000 block of Chaney Avenue., according to a Downey Fire Department dispatcher.
Flames and smoke were showing when firefighters arrived, he said.
The fire was out at 12:18 a.m. and was under investigation, the dispatcher said.
