Firefighters Monday were sent to free a person who became stuck in a storm train in the Lakewood area.
Rescuers went to the 6700 block of East Carson Street late Monday morning, according to the Long Beach Fire Department, which was assisting county fire units.
Shortly before noon, the LBFD reported that rescuers had made voice contact with the person, described only as a male, and a two-person “confined space rescue team” was being sent into the drain to free him.
