A man was stabbed to death in Long Beach, and police Tuesday sought public help to solve the crime.
Officers were sent to the 400 block of Zona Court about 5:10 p.m. Monday on “an unknown trouble call” and “discovered a male adult victim who appeared to be suffering from multiple stab wounds” to his upper body, according to a Long Beach Police Department statement.
Paramedics pronounced the 60-year-old Long Beach man dead at the scene. His name was withheld, pending notification of his relatives.
“The preliminary investigation revealed the victim was involved in a verbal dispute with an unknown subject(s) prior to officers being dispatched,” according to the LBPD statement that says the “exact motive … is currently unknown.”
Anyone with any information on the case was urged to call police 562-570-7244, or Crime Stoppers at 800-222-TIPS.
