A 27-year-old Garden Grove man with autism and the mental capacity of a 13-year-old is missing Monday evening.

Ken Parks was last seen leaving his home to go to Pioneer Park, located at 12722 Chapman Ave., about 1 p.m. Thursday, according to the Garden Grove Police Department. Police did not disclose an address where Parks lives.

Parks is black, 5 feet, 6 inches tall and weighs 135 pounds with black hair and brown eyes. He was last seen wearing a white T-shirt, blue jeans and yellow boots, police said.

Parks can communicate, likes to hug and touch and enjoys helping homeless individuals, police said.

Since the coronavirus lockdown, Parks believes his family does not want him to have friends, not understanding the lockdown or social distancing, police said.

Anyone who has information on the whereabouts of Parks was asked to call Garden Grove Police Department Detective Ed Desbiens at 714-741-5810.
