Four to five sheriff’s deputies and a suspect were injured Monday in a confrontation in East Valinda.
It happened about 2:20 a.m. in the 200 block of Sandalwood Avenue, said Deputy Trina Schrader of the Sheriff’s Information Bureau.
The deputies responded to a vehicle burglary in progress and the burglar fought them when they confronted him, Schrader said.
All injuries were non-life-threatening, she said. All of the injured were transported to hospitals for treatment. The exact number of injured deputies and their injuries were not available.
The man will be booked when he is released from the hospital, Schrader said.
