Officials were working Thursday to revoke the business permit of a La Verne spa after two women in their 50s were arrested on suspicion of prostitution during an undercover operation at the facility where they work, according to authorities.

“During the operation, the manager of the location and a masseuse solicited an undercover detective to perform sexual acts,” Sgt. Cory Leeper of the La Verne Police Department alleged.

The Los Angeles Regional Human Trafficking Task Force sting operation headed by the sheriff’s department, with assistance from the La Verne Police Department, was conducted about 5 p.m. Tuesday in the 1400 block of Foothill Boulevard, near Wheeler Avenue.

Leeper identified the arrestees as Xiuquin Zong, 57, of Hacienda Heights and Kangqiu Liu, 50, of San Gabriel.

Alleged code violations were also identified, and La Verne officials are working to revoke the business’ permit, according to police.
