One person was killed and four more were taken to hospitals for treatment of their injuries in a two-vehicle collision on the Eastern Transportation Corridor (241) in Orange.
The crash was reported about 6:40 p.m. on the toll road near Santiago Canyon Road, according to the California Highway Patrol.
One person was pronounced dead at the scene, said Capt. Thanh Nguyen of the Orange County Fire Authority. He did not know the ages or genders of the crash victims or the conditions of the injured.
The California Highway Patrol was investigating.
