
Firefighters extinguished a blaze in a metal-clad building in Chinatown Monday evening in about 20 minutes.
Crews responded to the 900 block of North Avila Street, near Vignes Street, at 10:01 p.m. and found the building well involved with fire, according to Nicholas Prange of the Los Angeles Fire Department.
A total of 32 firefighters worked to extinguish the blaze in 22 minutes and a knockdown was called at 10:23 p.m., Prange said.
No injuries were reported and the cause of the fire was under investigation.
